The tail plate filter cloth is located at the end of the filter plate sequence. At this position, the pressure has already been partially released, and most solid particles in the slurry have been intercepted by the front plates. Therefore, the working environment here is relatively milder.

High-strength and wear-resistant materials:
It is recommended to use fibers with higher breaking strength and tensile strength. These fabrics usually feature thicker yarns and a denser weaving structure.
Fatigue resistance:
Because the head plate filter cloth repeatedly experiences peak pressure shocks, it should have excellent pressure fatigue resistance to avoid rapid damage caused by frequent expansion and contraction.
Reinforced design:
Consider using filter cloth with localized reinforcement at the feed inlet area to resist direct erosion and abrasion from the slurry.
2. Selection of Tail Plate Filter Cloth
Focus on filtration accuracy:
Since the slurry at the end contains fewer solids and finer particles, the primary task of the tail plate filter cloth is to ensure clear filtrate. Filter cloth with more uniform pore size and higher filtration precision can be selected.
Optimized cake release performance:
Sometimes the filter cake formed on the tail plate is thinner or sticky. A filter cloth with a smoother surface or special finishing treatment can help improve cake release.
In summary, the head plate filter cloth should prioritize strength and pressure resistance, while the tail plate filter cloth should emphasize precise particle retention. Understanding this difference and adopting a differentiated configuration strategy can significantly improve the stability of filter press operation.
